Nick Oviedo-Torres (he/him/his) is the coalition organizer at Mass Renews Alliance. He is the son of a Salvadoran immigrant and a 2nd generation Colombian immigrant from Queens.
Previously, Nick has worked in electoral politics for Voto Latino, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Kirsten Gillibrand. He’s also been involved in organizing volunteers to help people impacted by housing instability, food insecurity, substance-use disorders, and chronic illnesses.
In his free time, Nick enjoys listening to music, reading books, playing soccer, and rock-climbing with his roommates.
Maddie Lee grew up in Los Angeles, California but currently resides in Somerville, Massachusetts. They moved to Massachusetts for school, where they studied Environmental Studies and Peace and Justice Studies.
Before coming to Mass Renews Alliance, Maddie was co-president of a student-led environmental group at their college. Their favorite part of that work was collaborating with other student social justice organizations to throw educational and intersectional events particularly around issues of environmental justice. They also helped organize a divestment campaign at their school that passed in 2021.
During their free time, Maddie loves exploring new places with their pet chihuahua Happy, reading graphic novels, drawing, dancing, and playing board games with friends!
